Well, that should settle that.
But, of course, there's more serious matters afoot. If only every scandal was as mild as the Greenwald thing.
My oh-so-meandering thoughts on politics, sports, and whatever else holds my interest. Stop by often.
David Brian Dickerson, 43, of Sparks is accused of assaulting [his wife, a recent immigrant from Latvia] July 17 in their apartment, court records show. Dickerson, a candidate in the Democratic primary for the Senate, was arrested Saturday and charged with second-degree rape, a fourth-degree sex offense, and second-degree assault, according to Baltimore County police and court records.
Through his lawyer, Dickerson denied the allegations.
Dickerson's wife is mentally ill and is "creating an entire story of things that never happened," Craig Kadish, Dickerson's attorney, said yesterday.
NEVER (30 seconds)
For the last three years, we’ve been fighting a war over foreign oil.
The cost in human life and suffering has been tragic.
We’ve spent $300 billion in Iraq – enough to fix our schools and health care system here at home.
Meanwhile, our borders and ports are still unprotected.
I’m Josh Rales – I approve this message.
In the Senate, I’ll vote to bring our troops home within a year, and I’ll work for an alternative energy policy so we never have to fight this kind of war again.
Join former Presidential Candidate George McGovern for an evening with political satire group The Capitol Steps at The Music Center at Strathmore in support of Allan Lichtman
Josh Rales, who has also spent about a million dollars, has zero support among likely voters.
US Senate Candidates Allan Lichtman and Joshua Rales appeared on January 18th at an event hosted by the Silver Spring Democratic Club. Allan clearly distinguished himself from his opponent both in terms of his vision for Maryland and his substantive presentation...
Josh Rales, on the other hand, offered no details on how to improve the lives of Marylanders. Additionally, he responded poorly when confronted by an audience member about his recent financial contributions to conservative Republican political candidates...
When asked to explain these contributions, Rales admitted that he was once a socially-liberal but fiscally-conservative Republican and that he has now seen the errors of his way. His intimation that these were distant realities carried little weight, as his contribution to Bush came towards the tail-end of the President’s reelection bid and was submitted well after the disastrous policy in Iraq and the destructive tax cut.
Last night, the campaign rolled into the University of Maryland - College Park campus on a 1982 Half-sized, yellow school bus.
The bus, a supplement to Allan's promise to take convential politicians "to school", was acquired last week from a bus yard in Columbus, Ohio.
Greenwald's book has been on the N.Y. Times Best Seller List for 6 weeks now or more. He is a graduate of a top 5 law school and worked at the most prestigious law firm in the country. In 9 months, he's managed to become one of the most cited and heavily-trafficked bloggers on the internets. His posts have led to front page news articles and are read by U.S. Senators during Senate hearings.
You-by your own account are a marketing and sales manager. And your favorite movie is Something About Mary.
Can't you just admit that you(and Patterico and Reynolds & Goldstein and the rest of your bitter insult-spewing irrelevant losers) are drowning in jealousy? It isn't pretty to watch. But it sure is obvious.

So, yeah, there you are. Crazy, huh?
Wait, Hang on, Hold the phone UPDATE:
Ace reports that Sam Mathews is not a puppet, but is based somewhere on the east coast of the United States. Crazy, but if that's how it is, that's how it is. I guess I owe Sam Mathews a apology. Though, since he was confused for a sockpuppet, he should work on his writing style a tad.
That's just my thought, though.
Greenwald only has a New York Times Best Selling Book on the Bush Administration and its abuses of power. And he has one of the most-read blogs on the Interent, after 9 months of blogging. And Senators read from his blog at Senate hearings and his posts lead to front-page news stories in major newspapers.
Why would anyone think what he has to say matters? It's not like anyone listens to him. It's not like he's Ace, or Jeff Goldstein, or Patterico, or Sister Toldjah or Glenn Reynolds, or someone who really matters.
Great advice, you super-important bloggers should only to each other and about each other. Don't bother with anyone in the Left because if you ignore them, they'll just go away.

Yeah, I know. Fascinating stuff. So why am I quoting this? Good question.
I saw this particular comment on this thread at Ace of Spades HQ regarding Glenn Greenwald and his insufferable douchebaggery. But what really caught my attention was how closely that comment meshed with this one I had read earlier:
What I don’t quite understand is, why do so many, almost all on the extreme Left, consider Greenwald some kind of great constitutional authority.Lets see, a New York Times bestselling book on executive authority. Breaks a story on his blog about wiretapping that leads to front-page stories on most major newspapers in the country. Russ Feingold reads from his blog during the Censure hearings.
Maybe that has something to do with why. Any conservative bloggers with credentials like that? All compiled in 9 months or however long its been since he started blogging?
Jeffy’s funny poems are great and everything, and im sure your anonymous lawyer friends are really smart and all, but hard to say they compare to those things.

Now that's weird. That comment at Protein Wisdom seems awfully similar to the comment at Ace of Spades HQ which came later from a different person. New York Times bestseller, blog read by Russ Feingold, 9 months on the web, front page stories in major newspapers.
Needless to say, I'm going to keep my eyes on this.
